Description

The Iowa Association of Councils of Governments (ICOG) is the trade association for the 17 Councils of Governments (COGs) in Iowa. Since 1988, ICOG has brought leaders and communities together to promote economic growth, improve public sector service, and solve regional issues for the future of Iowa.

COGs are formed through provisions of Chapter 28E, 28H and 28I of the Code of Iowa. They help their regions plan for the future, leverage state and federal funding, provide technical support, promote regional collaboration and assist with disaster recovery.
