About Posting Classifieds

Purpose: The Iowa League of Cities maintains a classifieds site on its webpage for the primary purpose of facilitating compliance with Iowa Code Chapters 26 and 26A, and to allow its members to post job advertisements, items for sale and other solicitation/procurement documents. The League reserves the right to reject postings that do not further these purposes.

Processing Time:

Postings take one business day to process. Submissions received on holidays will be processed the next business day. Please plan accordingly.

Posting Duration:

Ads remain visible for two months, until a deadline specified in the ad copy, or upon request for removal. Postings are archived for 60 days after removal.

Changes to Postings:

Edits cannot be made after submission. To make changes:

  1. Call us at (515) 244-7282 or email classifieds@iowaleague.org to remove the original post.
  2. Submit a new posting.

How to Post a Classified:
  1. Click the Post a Classified link below.
  2. Complete the online form.
  3. Upload your file as instructed in the confirmation email (Max file size: 10MB).
    Postings will not be processed until the upload is completed.
  4. Receive confirmation of posting.
    • Notices to Bidders: Includes a certification document and copy of the upload.
Posting Fees:

The posting fee is $150 unless:

  1. It’s classified as a Notice to Bidders.
  2. It’s for or on behalf of:
    • An Iowa League of Cities member.
    • A Community Alliance Program participant.
    • A county in Iowa.
    • A 28E agreement with a League city member.
    • Any other Iowa public entity (with League Executive Director approval).

  • Notices to Bidders (Compliant with Iowa Code Chapter 26)

    14 day Notice of Intent to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract (Compliant with Iowa Code Chapter 26A)

    Request for Qualifications for Construction Manager at Risk (Compliant with Iowa Code Chapter 26A)

Other types of postings shall not be allowed.
