2020 Conference

‚ÄčAnnouncement Regarding 2020 League Annual Conference & Exhibit

After much consideration, our Executive Board and staff have determined to not hold our Annual Conference in person this year (originally scheduled for September 16-18 in Coralville). This decision was based on our need to protect the health of our members, exhibitors and League staff, and we felt there are simply too many unknowns at this time to move forward with a traditional large conference.

We fully understand the importance of the Annual Conference and the need we all have for networking and continued education, as well as the benefits of in-person instruction. This was a very difficult decision and our board and staff will miss seeing so many wonderful city officials, exhibitors and sponsors from around the state.

Rest assured, we plan to offer workshops in a virtual conference to provide educational opportunities to our members. We hope to make these eligible for professional certification credit for those interested. We have yet to determine a format for the virtual conference, but we will make an announcement as soon as plans are finalized.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and we welcome any feedback or questions you may have. Please stay tuned for announcements regarding the virtual conference and we hope you and others from your city will be able to join us.

Best regards,

Iowa League of Cities Executive Board and Staff
