Small City Workshops 2010

Small City Workshops are being held at six locations across the state. Check out the map below for the workshop nearest you.

The workshop will cover:

Small City Economic Development
This session will feature tips and strategies for small cities on how to complete successful economic development projects. Area council of government representatives will lead the discussion and provide information on resources, best practices and examples of projects. Learn about the different funding opportunities available and what type of projects your city can do to enhance its growth.

City Council & Staff Relationships
An important part to successful municipal governance is having a strong and productive relationship between the city council and city staff. This session will cover ways your city can create and maintain this type of relationship, even in times of transition and difficulty.

The $30 registration fee includes dinner. All workshops begin at 5:30 p.m. and will end around 8 p.m.
