Municipal Leadership Academy (MLA)
The Municipal Leadership Academy (MLA) is presented through a partnership of the Iowa League of
Cities, Office of State and Local Government Programs at Iowa State University
and the Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Iowa. This is the only
workshop designed specifically for the needs of newly elected city officials in
Iowa. MLA is a four part workshop series that begins shortly after the election
and concludes with the Iowa League of Cities Annual
Conference & Exhibit in Coralville in September 22-24, 2010.
Attendees can register for a particular session or enjoy a discount by signing
up for the first three parts as a package until December 17, 2009.
Who Should Attend? Newly elected mayors and council members, experienced mayors and council
members, city clerks and city administrators will all benefit from attendance.
Find out more about MLA Part 1, Part 2,
